Aamir Khan recently opened up about his difficult phase as an actor when he was on the verge of quitting films. At a recent event organized by News18 India, the 58-year-old Bollywood maestro admitted that he doesn’t spend enough time with his family due to his extreme passion for films.

“Around 2.5 years ago, I realized I was so lost in my passion that I hadn’t given enough time to my relationships,” the 3 Idiots actor shared.

The actor who was last seen in the movie, Laal Singh Chaddha, revealed that he was concerned with the fact of not being there for his loved ones.

He added, “I was disturbed and unhappy. I would have left films if not for my children. I was angry and irritated with myself.”

The Indian film star further talked about his daughter Ira Khan’s wedding, revealing that it will be very difficult for him to control his emotions.

“Ira is getting married on January 3. Nupur (his son-in-law) is like a son. I’m happy. I get emotional very easily. I’m going to cry a lot at the wedding. The family is already concerned about it,” the actor stated.

Aamir, who is known as Mr Perfectionist due to his credible work in films, once again highlighted the importance of seeking professional help if one is in stress.

“When one is in stress or is going through emotional issues they should go to a therapist. It has helped me a lot in understanding myself better. I aspire to become a better version of myself,” concluded the actor.

Recently, Shaheen Bhatt discussed the topic of mental health and reflected on her journey of emerging from a dark emotional state. During a workshop organized by MTV Question Marks, Shaheen spoke candidly about her mental health issues and recounted an incident that made her question how people often hide their true emotions and present a facade to the world.

She explained, “I never planned on talking about my mental health issues, but on this particular day, as I was looking for a picture to post on social media, I realized that I had been searching for only happy pictures, completely contrary to how I was actually feeling. It made me realize that I wanted to talk about how I was truly feeling.”

She went on to highlight how people often default to responding that they are “good” when asked about their well-being, even if they are struggling internally. Shaheen expressed her concern about the masks people wear to hide their true emotions, stating, “We are constantly wearing this mask and pretending to be someone else.”

The workshop primarily focused on the mental health of students and the significant role parents play in this aspect of their lives. Shaheen delved into her own childhood experiences and discussed how having supportive parents had a positive impact on her as a student.

Shaheen shared, “As a child, I felt that the only way to prove myself was by being intelligent and hardworking. Every time I fell short of that, it felt really bad, even horrible. I consider myself lucky to have such supportive parents who have always encouraged me to do my best and made it clear that any outcome is acceptable to them. They have never pressured me to be a top-ranking student.”

Apart from Shah Rukh Khan’s electrifying performance, Jawan boasts an ensemble cast that includes South Indian sensations Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara, as well as Deepika Padukone. Their combined star power has undoubtedly contributed to the film’s monumental success.

Moreover, Jawan has not limited itself to the Hindi-speaking audience. The Tamil and Telugu dubbed versions of the film have collectively earned an impressive Rs 58.82 crore, further broadening its reach and appeal.

Jawan has soared to become the second-highest-grossing Bollywood movie ever worldwide, trailing only behind Dangal.

The Bollywood diva took to her Instagram and expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the record breaking response on her latest offering.

In an exclusive interview with Variety, the Jab We Met actress shared her excitement over the massive success of her OTT debut project.

The 43-year-old said, “My OTT [streaming] debut with Netflix and working on a film like ‘Jaane Jaan’ has been so rewarding. The reactions, messages from fans and

audiences around the world have strengthened my belief that good stories can go everywhere.”

The mother of two showered praises on the cast and crew of the movie, calling her first streaming debut a ‘wonderful experience.’

“Playing Maya D’souza, having co-stars like Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma and being directed by Sujoy Ghosh made the experience of my first streaming debut a wonderful experience,” she concluded.

After conquering the international box office with his latest Bollywood directorial, he is now setting his sights on an even more prestigious achievement: the Oscars.

In his recent conversation with ETimes, Atlee revealed his ambitious goal of taking his film ‘Jawan’ to the prestigious Academy Awards. This shows his determination to make his mark on the global cinema stage.

Replying to this, the director said, “Of course, even Jawan should go, if everything falls in place. I think every effort, everybody, every director, every technician who is working in cinema, their eyes are on the Golden Globes, Oscars, National Awards, every award. So, definitely, yeah, I would love to take Jawan to the Oscars.”

Further, the director said, ”Let’s see. I think Khan sir (Shah Rukh Khan) will watch and read this interview. I will also ask him over a call, ‘Sir, should we take this film to the Oscars?'”

According to Variety, Alia Bhatt is set to become the first super-agent of YRF’s spy universe. The actress will headline the first female-led spy movie for Yash Raj Films.

The film, in which Bhatt will play a super agent, is expected to start production in 2024.

A trade source told Variety: Alia is one of our country’s biggest superstars today and she will play a super agent in the YRF spy universe like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Hrithik Roshan.

“This will be another epic action spectacle that will leave people at the edge of their seats. Alia will take on a mission that will push her to the edge and this gritty action film will expand the YRF spy universe further.”

The spy universe, created by producer Aditya Chopra, began with the Tiger franchise, featuring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, starting with Ek Tha Tiger in 2012 and followed by Tiger Zinda Hai in 2017.

The universe expanded with War in 2019, starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff. The most recent addition to the franchise, Pathaan, featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham, has been the biggest Indian hit of the year, grossing $130 million.

The next installment in the spy universe, Tiger 3, is scheduled for release in November during the Diwali festival holiday season. Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan will lead the film Tiger vs Pathaan, set to start production in January 2024. Ayan Mukerji, the filmmaker behind Brahmastra will direct War 2.
