Newspaper Owners Association of Bangladesh (Noab) has honoured the member newspapers which have been publishing papers in the country for more than 25 years.
The awards were given at a function held at the Samson H Chowdhury Centre at Dhaka Club in the capital last evening.
The awardees are The Sangbad, The Daily Ittefaq, Dainik Azadi, The Daily Purbanchal, The Daily Karatoa, Dainik Purbokone, Daily Inqilab, Bhorer Kagoj, Janakantha, The Daily Star and The Financial Express.
All of the above mentioned newspapers have been publishing news in the country for over 25 years despite going through several ups and downs.
Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury was present at the event as chief guest while Information and Broadcasting Minister Hasan Mahmud was present as special guest.
Established in 2004, Noab played an important role in the development of the country’s newspaper industry and was registered as a trade organisation in 2015.
