Billie Eilish delivered a stunning performance of her hit song, “Happier Than Ever,” at the 64th Annual GRAMMY Awards Sunday night.The singe has paid tribute to late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins at this year’s Grammy Awards, having worn a t-shirt with his face on as she performed.
Eilish – who is up for seven Grammys this year – took to the stage for a live rendition of ‘Happier Than Ever’, the song from her album of the same name. The performance began in an upside-down house, before Eilish and her brother Finneas made their way to the roof as rain started to lash down.
But as impressive as the lavish set and waterworks were, many fans were most blown away with a much simpler gesture, having clocked that Eilish was wearing a t-shirt honouring Hawkins – who died last week at the age of 50.
One person tweeted: “Billie Eilish is wearing a Taylor Hawkins t-shirt during her Grammys performance and my heart broke a little.”
Someone else wrote: “Pure class @billieeilish wearing Taylor Hawkins tee in her Grammy performance.”
A third said: “The one and only @billieeilish gave an amazing performance while rocking a shirt with the late Taylor Hawkins on it.”
