Alamgir Ranch Ltd, a sister concern of Labib Group, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Daraz Bangladesh Limited as a part of sustainable business and its continued expansion.
CIP Sultana Jahan, director of Alamgir Ranch and vice-chairman of Labib Group, and AHM Hasinul Quddus, chief corporate affairs officer of Daraz Bangladesh Ltd, signed the MoU at the head office of Alamgir Ranch Ltd on Tuesday.
Mahmudul Alam Monir – deputy managing director; Shahria Shahin Sultana, chief coordinator, and Shadiya Tasnim, general manager of Alamgir Ranch, and Shabbir Hossain, chief commercial officer, and Saimun Sanjid Chowdhury, head of acquisition of Daraz Bangladesh, were also present at the signing ceremony.
Alamgir Ranch Ltd involves in different businesses like the sweater, dyeing, banking, leasing, electronics, it, packaging, poultry, fisheries and other products.

Even before the COVID-19 pandemic, e-commerce was already witnessing significant growth – with the sector expanding at a steady pace of 4.5 per cent globally.
This was driven mainly by factors like increased digitisation, improvements in technology and infrastructure, and consumers expecting more convenience and accessibility.
The pandemic, however, has triggered a dramatic boom in e-commerce. In South Asia, where e-commerce is behind regions like Southeast Asia, the pandemic has accelerated its adoption. Digital maturity in South Asia sped up, with more consumers – regardless of age – shifting to shopping online due to lockdowns, and businesses having to think outside of the box to find new sales channels and ways to keep customers engaged.
