GM Niaz Murshed and national women’s chess champion Sharmin Sultana Shirin both lost their third round games in the Asian Continental Chess Championships
now being held in Manila, the capital of the Philippines.
In the third round games held on Monday, Niaz lost to GM Adhiban Baskaran of India and Shirin lost against WFM Lkhamsuren Uuganbayar of Mongolia.
After third round Niaz earned 1.5 points, while Shirin has yet to open her account.
