No Time to Die spoilers follow from the start.
Daniel Craig’s latest James Bond movie No Time to Die does indeed feature the legendary agent dying at the end in an act of sacrifice.
The film used the Faroe Islands as the villain Safin’s lair where Bond meets his end, which is why a gravestone has been erected there by the islanders.
In a video shared by the Guide to Faroe Islands Team’s official YouTube channel (which you can watch above), we see the gravestone being crafted and then airdropped into place, overlooking the sea. Very fitting indeed.
The memorial stone reads: “In memory of James Bond, 1962-2021. The proper function of man is to live, not to exist.”
Meanwhile, Bond locations are said to feature in the franchise’s first ever official TV series, a reality show called 007’s Road to a Million.
Sounding like a combination of SAS Who Dares Wins and The Amazing Race, the series will task fans with going to locations used in the films and pairing up to take part in Bond-themed obstacles and challenges.
The series is said to start filming soon and will be released on Amazon (who now own Bond studio MGM) Prime Video in over 240 countries later this year.
Don’t expect a full-on James Bond drama series coming to TV though, as franchise overseer Barbara Broccoli stated: “We make films. We make films for the cinema. That’s what we do.”
“We’ve resisted that call for 60 years,” added Michael G Wilson.
No Time to Die is out now. All the previous Bond movies are available on DVD or Blu-ray.
