The CEO of Tesla and richest man in the world, Elon Musk, said that he was canceling his $44 billion agreement to purchase Twitter. According to Musk, the social media business violated numerous terms of the merger agreement, and as a result, the deal is being terminated. On the other hand. Twitter says, it will sue the billionaire to complete merger agreement to which they reportedly agreed.
Twitter’s chairman Bret Taylor tweeted, “The Twitter Board is dedicated to closing the deal on the price and terms agreed upon with Mr. Musk.
The billionaire made the offer to buy the company at $54.20 per share in April, which the company and its board agreed to after much internal debate and spirited conversation on the social media forum.
