The National Environment Olympiad begins today to motivate students for saving environment to overcome the challenges of climate change.
Dhaka University geography and environment department is organising the Olympiad at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban at 9:30am to mark World Environment Day 2013.
Nearly 300 students of different educational institutions are going to attend the programme where they will participate in the Olympiad.
DU pro-vice-chancellor (education) Nasreen Ahmed, Asiatic Society Bangladesh chairman Professor Nazrul Islam, DU earth and environmental science faculty dean SM Maksud Kamal are scheduled to attend the programme.
