Tisha will be flying tonight to attend the 75th edition of the prestigious Cannes Film Festival scheduled to take place from 17 to 28 May 2022 in France, accompanied by her four-month-old daughter Ilham Nusrat Farooki.Tisha and Arifin Shuvoo, who are starring in Shyam Benegal’s Bangabandhu biopic, “Mujib: The Making of a Nation”, will be there for the teaser launch of the film in the Marché du Film Commercial Branch at the Indian pavilion, on May 19.
Arifin Shuvoo plays the role of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Tisha portrays Fazilatunnesa Mujib, the wife of Bangabandhu, in this biopic, jointly produced by Bangladesh and India.
Tisha is hopeful that the film will shine in other International festivals as well.
She informed the media that her sister is also going with her to take care of Ilham. Meanwhile, Mostofa Sarwar Farooki will join them, to babysit his daughter.
They are planning to return from the festival on May 27. However, there may be some changes in the schedule.
In addition, Information Minister Hasan Mahmud is expected to be attending the teaser launch, along with India’s Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur, and the director of the film, among many others.

National Film Award-winning actress Nusrat Imrose Tisha is back to work after giving birth to her daughter Ilham Nusrat Farooki.On International Mother’s Day, the actress posted a picture of hers and Ilham on verified Facebook page— “Ilham is going to her mom’s work! Started working slowly! First up, dubbing for Bangabandhu biopic!”.
Internationally acclaimed filmmaker Mostofa Sarwar Farooki and Nusrat Imrose welcomed their daughter on January 5. The couple tied the knot in 2010 through a grand ceremony.

Nusrat Imrose Tisha cautioned fans about a Facebook page for stealing images from her official account, and making fake posts under her name.The “Haldaa” actress posted against the viral status on her official Facebook account.
“For the last few days, I have been seeing a Facebook page opened under my name and sharing a fake status, using a picture of Farooki and mine,” the post read.
“We shared this picture after recovering from Covid-19. Some miscreant stole that picture and wrote an absurd status about how ‘a responsible man is better than a good looking male”. I have seen numerous people sharing that status and some newspapers have also written an article around the feigned status,” added Tisha.
“I am really upset about the ‘fake’ status, as I consider my husband to be responsible and handsome as well. Please do report the page and ensure that the page is gone forever. I would also request my journalist friends to check news whether it’s being posted under my official Facebook page or not,” the post concluded.
