Popular film cum TV actress Parvin Sultana Diti has left home for Canada yesterday. She is going there for three months to enjoy some sweet moments with her kids-Diptwa and Lamia, who are studying in Canada, during the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Azha.Diti is scheduled to return home in November and till then she is determined to keep her aloof from all media related activities. She will just enjoy her kids’ accompany with a view to remove her loneliness in the country.
Before leaving home, Diti has completed her work for two films- “Purno Dhoirgo Prem Kahini” by Safi Uddin Safi and “Jonakir Alo” by Khalid Mahmud Mithu. On the occasion of upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr, Channel i will telecast Diti directed telefilm “The End,” while Diti acted two TV plays will be aired on ATN Bangla and Maasranga Television.
While talking to the New Nation, Diti said, “It’s very tough for me to enjoy Eid without my children and that’s why I have decided to give myself a three-month vacation.” “I have worked hard for several plays and movies, but nobody paid my honorarium. Even I didn’t get my due payment. I am really hurt”, Diti expressed her agony before leaving for Canada.

Popular film actress Parvin Sultana Diti will perform in government sponsored movie after 26 years. She will perform in movie ‘Mukti’, directed by PA Kajol. Shooting of the movie began from August 6. Story of the film was written by director Kajol and he has also made the script.Diti started her film career by performing in a government-sponsored movie in 1985. Her attachment in this arena began by performing in the movie ‘Daak Diye Jai’, directed by Udayan Chowdhury. Afzal Hossain was co-actor of Diti in that movie. Despite completing 80 percent of the works of the movie and also due to have financial crisis the movie didn’t get released. For this reason, Diti has to say unfortunate for her debut movie. After 26 years her dream comes true. She will perform in Kajol’s movie in the role of a widow.
While sharing her feelings to perform in the government-sponsored movie Diti told this correspondent, “Earlier I did not perform in role of a widow. It will be my first experience in the movie. It is a challenging role. I am enjoying performing in this role. I hope viewers will enjoy this liberation war based movie.”
In this movie, child artiste Swachcha is performing in role of Diti’s son. Masud Parvez (Sohel Rana), Helal Khan, among others, are also performing in the movie.
