For a couple of weeks now, the names of Shakira, Gerard Pique and Clara Chia have been on everyone’s lips. The Colombian signer aimed digs at the couple through the lyrics of her latest song, Music Session Vol.53.
In her collaboration with Bizarrap, Shakira lashed out against everything and everyone close to the father of her two children.
While the song has instantly become a hit, it has been reported that the artist is preparing a new song and has chosen a very special date to release it.
Shakira will release her new song with Karol G on February 2, which is not just any date but the day both the Colombian singer and Pique celebrates their birthday.
As reported on Laura Fa and Lorena Vazquez’s podcast ‘Mamarazzis’, Karol G and Shakira worked hard for this song. They recorded the video clip in just two days, with the sessions lasting for more than 15 hours per day.
The famous Colombian singer was backed by Karol G after releasing Music Session Vol.53. Karol G attended an NBA game between the Memphis Grizzlies and Los Angeles Lakers wearing a t-shirt reading a phrase that was part of the lyrics in Shakira’s new song.
Therefore, rumors suggest that Shakira’s new hit could also contain references to Pique in a more subtle and less direct way.

Latin American pop diva Shakira will lend her voice to five out of 30 songs for a movie titled Desire-the Flying Butter, directed by Bangladeshi filmmaker Enamul Kabir Nirjhar.Additionally, renowned singer from Morocco Abdel Hakim will playback for the film along with many other international artistes.
‘It’s a musical which will present some contemporary incidents in Bangladesh in a global context avoiding the real time frame and location,’ director of the movie Enamul Kabir Nirjhar told New Age.
‘The film will truly be a global one, which will be shot in several countries including Scotland, Britain, India and Bangladesh, he added.
The director is trying to present more surprises for the viewers. ‘I am trying my best to cast Shakira for acting at the film. But, I assure there will be even bigger surprises,’ said Nirjhar.
But, Nirjhar, who is also one of the producers of the movie, did not want to disclose the details of storyline, casting and release time of the movie, which is a joint production of Bangladesh and India.
Though Nirjhar assured, ‘I will gradually reveal everything.’
Music director from Kolkata Debajyoti Mishra has composed songs for the film. Nirjhar’s coalition with Debajyoti Mishra began in 2007 when the composer made the soundtrack of the director’s debut feature film Aha.
The film was screened at several international festivals like Munich, Cairo and Dubai. However, Nirjhar’s second feature film Nomuna, whose music was also composed by Mishra, is yet to get the clearance from the censor board.

Shakira has donated $400,000 to help rebuild a school in Haiti following the devastating earthquake in the Caribbean nation in 2010.The ‘Hips Don’t Lie’ hitmaker – who performed a concert in New York last year alongside the likes of Wyclef Jean, Sting and Bruce Springsteen to raise money for the Caribbean nation following its devastating earthquake – will also see her donation matched by the Inter-American Development Bank.
She said: “I’m convinced the key to achieve a dignified future for the Haitian people is through education.
“I’d like to say to the girls that this is an enormous opportunity that life is offering you – education. So make the most of it because I’m sure you can achieve any of your dreams.”
Last year, the Columbian-born singer raised $600,000 to build schools in Haiti by appearing in an advert for a Spanish cava drink in return for the company, Freixenet, making the donation to her charitable foundation Pies Descalzos.
She explained: “Education is a birthright and a quality education is the only tool that a child has to turn dreams into reality.
“Since I was a girl I have been aware of the tough reality faced by many children.”

Shakira has publicly confirmed her romance with Spanish footballer Gerard Piqué on Twitter, calling him “my sunshine”. The 34-year-old Colombian songstress and the FC Barcelona star made their relationship official – as she posted a photograph on her Twitter page of them with their arms around each other. “Les presento a mi sol… Shak,” she wrote about her 24-year-old beau. Shakira announced at the start of the year that her 11-year relationship with lawyer Antonio de la Rúa, the eldest son of the former president of Argentina, Fernando de la Rúa, was over following rumours that he had been cheating on her. The singer reportedly first met Piqué while shooting the video to her song Waka Waka (This Time for Africa) – the official song for the 2010 World Cup. Barcelona-based newspaper El Periódico De Catalunya claimed the pair had a string of secret encounters following their initial meeting.
