Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone starrer ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani,’ which opened in 162 theatres on Friday, earned 1.6 million dollars, reports India Today. Box-office analyst Paul Dergarabedian told the New York Post that it was very unusual to see a Bollywood film in top 10, asserting that sometimes these movies did crack into the top 20 or top 15 (domestically).Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani is a 2013 is a coming-of-age romantic comedy film, directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Karan Johar, the film focuses on a young man named Kabir Thapar aka Bunny (Ranbir Kapoor) who is a carefree boy and whose dream is to roam around the world.
The film stars Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone in lead roles. This is their second film together after their 2008 film Bachna Ae Haseeno. Aditya Roy Kapur and Kalki Koechlin play supporting roles. Bollywood diva Madhuri Dixit appears in a dance number with Ranbir Kapoor in this film. Initially made for a March 2013 release, the film was released on May 31, 2013.
