\nOrganised by Bangladesh Udichi Shilpigoshthi with the slogan \u2018Esho gana sangeeter aynai dekhi swadesher mukh\u2019, the annual peoples\u2019 song competition and festival \u2018Satyan Sen Gana Sangeet Utsab\u00a0O Jatiya Gana Sangeet Pratijagita 2011\u2019 began on March 27 on the Bangladesh Shilapakal Academy premises.
\nMoushumi Bhowmik began her performance with her most popular song \u2018Ami shunechhi sedin tumi\u2019. She rendered some more of her popular numbers including \u2018Ami khujechhi tomai\u2019, \u2018Jessore road\u2019 and \u2018Amar kichhu katha chhilo\u2019. She also performed Gana Sangeet \u2018Maran shiyore daladali kore ki hobe\u2019 and \u2018Kothai gelo tara bhora deho\u2019.
\nAnother Indian singer Satyaki Banerjee, who is also a member of Mowshumi\u2019s band Parapar, performed at the programme. Later Satyaki and Moushumi performed a duet song \u2018Guru tor doyai\u2019.
\nEarlier, the concluding day\u2019s programme began with the final performances of the participants which took place in the academy\u2019s Dance and Music Centre auditorium in the morning. A total of 45 young singers and seven groups from seven cultural organisations from across the country took part in the competition.
\nWinners of the competition also performed in the music programme. Dyuti Biswas from Khulna stood first, Tahrima Binte Yahiya from Chandpur became the second and Sadiya Hasan Mona from Dhaka became third in the \u2018Ka\u2019 category of the competition.
\nIn the \u2018Kha\u2019 category, Swarnamoyi Mandal from became first, Nusrat Imam Bulti from Mymensingh and Imran Hossain Tarjan from Barisal jointly became second and MA Momin from Dhaka became the third in the competition.
\nIn the group competition, Bangabandhu Sangiskritik Jote from Dinajpur became first, Udichi Chittagonj district unit became the second and Udichi Magura district unit became the third.
\nThe organisers launched a music album titled \u2018Gana Manusher Gaan\u2019 featuring peoples\u2019 songs.\u00a0 Theatre actress Shimul Yusuf unveiled the album at the programme.
\nThe organisers and guests including Moushumi Bhowmik handed over prizes to the winners of the competition in the afternoon.<\/p>\n
