\nAbout 400 Cubs and Scouts from the city\u2019s 25 educational institutions participated in the inaugural programme.
\nThe drive initiated by Bangladesh Scouts of Dhaka metropolitan unit began at about 8:00am.
\nThe cleanliness activity will be conducted every second and last Fridays in each month.
\nChief National Commissioner of Bangladesh Scouts and\u00a0Power Secretary\u00a0Md Abul Kalam Azad attended the programme as the chief guest while Commissioner of Dhaka Division Md Moinuddin Abdullah was present as the special guest.
\nAbul Kalam Azad said Scout movement is very important for the children, which will help them to become worthy citizens of the country.
\nLauding the initiative by the Bangladesh Scouts, Moinuddin urged all to keep the environment free from pollution.<\/p>\n
