Chhayanaut’s celebration concludes on high note<\/strong>
\n<\/a>As part of the two daylong celebrations marking the birth anniversary of Kazi Nazrul Islam, artistes of Chhayanaut paid their homage to the National poet on the concluding day (May 26) of the programme at the main auditorium of Chhayanaut.
\nChhayanaut artistes welcomed the packed audience with the rendition of a choral song “Jhor Jhanjar\u00a0Orey Nishan” while a number of solo and choral renditions, recitation and a dance performance, featured renowned and talented artistes and cultural organisations of the country.
\nSeveral solo renditions stood out. A ghazal “Bagichaye Bulbuli Tui” a performance by Bizon Chandra Mistry took the audience to the world of melodious nostalgia. Almas Ali’s violin inspired that melody with the rhythm of Gautam Sarkar.
\nNoted artiste Shaheen Samad’s sonorous rendition of the song “Dur Bonantey Poth Bhuli Kon Bulbuli” reminded the audience of the bliss of separation. Dr. Nashid Kamal’s soulful performance of the song “Ami na Hoy Man Korechhinu” captured the hearts of many.
\nDr. Pradip Kumar Nandi’s rendition of “Brindaboney Eki Bashori Bajey” was fairly melodious while Alokananda Subrita’s moving performance of the song “Rosh-Ghano Shyam” seemingly earned the accolades of enthusiasts.
\nKhairul Anam Shakil, Kalpana Anam, Fatema-Tuz-Zohra, Yasmin Mushtari, Josef Komol Roderick and others performed solos. Artistes of Nazrul Institute and Nazrul Academy presented several choral songs. Keya Chowdhury and Golam Sarwar recited Nazrul’s poems.
\nThe showcasing of a group dance with a live choral performance of the song “Mor Ghum Ghorey Ele Monohor” by the artistes of Chhayanaut was an apt example of performing art.
\nArtistes of Chhayanaut performed a choral in the dhrupad genre \u201cJago Amrito Piyashi Chito\u201d that wrapped up the concluding day’s programme. ATN Bangla was the media partner of the event.<\/p>\n
