<\/a>On the third day of the eight-day ITI theatre festival, Aikik Theatre and Aranyak Natya Dal staged Har Tauranga and Kabar respectively at the Experimental Theatre Hall and Studio Theatre Hall on Tuesday.
\nHar Tauranga features struggles of an ethnic minority group in an imaginary island to resist the oppressive people, who aim to plunder the natural resources and control over the inhabitants and animals of the\u00a0island.
\nA houseful audience praised the production directed by Shoib, Munir and acted by Yusuf Atik Manik, Atikul Islam Munna, Parvez Rana and others.
\nMoushumi Rahman, an audience, said, \u2018Youthful zeal, sentiments of ethnic minority group, their costumes and ornaments have been presented realistically to deal a universal issue. Young actors gave almost a flawless effort.\u2019
\nAranyak Natya Dal staged martyr intellectual Munier Chowdhury\u2019s epoch making play Kabor, directed by Abu Hashim Masuduzzaman at the Studio Theatre Hall. Though the troupe emerged in 1972 through staging of Kabor, directed by Mamunur Rashid, the remade production has several changes in the directorial compositions.
\nThe latest version of the play aims to create the ambience of the historical show of Kabor when it was premiered premiere show of the play at the in the central jail on February 21, 1953 night, a year after the historic Language Movement. That production was directed by Foni Chakrabarty and also acted by Munier Chowdhury himself.
\nThe 45-minute experimental production features an imaginary resurrection of the language movement martyrs, who deny to follow the order of the representatives of the Pakistani regime of returning to grave.<\/p>\n
