The Bangladesh Railway is going to start selling advance tickets for Eid-ul-Fitr today.
\nMeanwhile, huge crowd was seen at the Kamalapur railway station in the capital on Saturday.
\nSome bus operators will also start advance tickets sale within the next few days.
\nSaidur Rahman, assistant director (operation) central control of Bangladesh Railway, told New Age on Saturday that the railway would start selling advance tickets today and it would continue till August 9.
\nThe officials also said the tickets would be sold at Dhaka and Chittagong stations from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
\nThe tickets for travelling on August 14 will be available on August 5, August 15\u2019s on August 6, August 16\u2019s on August 7, August 17\u2019s on August 8, and August 18\u2019s on August 9.
\nThe railway\u2019s director (public relation and traffic), Zaharul Islam, said seven special inter-city trains would be operated during Eid-ul-Fitr.
\n\u2018Five special trains will be running on Dhaka-Dewanganj-Dhaka, Chittagong-Chandpur-Chittagong, Chittagong-Noakhali-Chittagong, Dhaka-Parbotipur-Dhaka and Dhaka-Khulna-Dhaka routes three days before and a day after the Eid day,\u2019 he said.
\nThe officer also said two special trains would be running during Eid day on Mymensingh-Kishoreganj-Mymensingh and Bhairab-Kishoreganj-Bhairab due to Eid prayer at Sholakia.
\nMany people were seen to crowd the Kamalapur railway station for collecting tickets.
\nA railway station officer told New Age that most of the people came to collect August 13\u2019s advance tickets.
\nSome bus operators at Gabtoli bus terminal such as Suborna Paribahan, Shaymoli Transport, Hanif Enterprise and Shohagh Transport confirmed that they would start selling tickets within a few days.<\/p>\n
