\nAwami League President Sheikh Hasina today hoped that the general election will be held peacefully and urged all to accept the election result whatever it will be.
\nShe also flashed V-sign after casting her vote at Dhaka City College centre with her sister Sheikh Rehana at about 8:30am.
\nTalking to reporters emerging from voting booth, she expressed her hope that the Awami League-led\u00a0grand alliance will get the chance of running the country after securing mandate in today\u2019s election.
\nThe former premier talked about the news of the BNP-led four-party alliances\u2019 attempts of buying votes at different constituencies published in today\u2019s different daily newspapers.
\n\u201cIf this happens how can I believe that the elections will be free and fair,\u201d she said, adding, \u201cWhat the Election Commission and the government have done to stop these?\u201d
\nAfter casting votes, Hasina visited 13 polling centres including Hazaribagh, Rayerbazar, Mirpur, Kafrul, Badda and Uttara in the capital.<\/p>\n
