<\/a>Late singer Whitney Houston\u2019s biopic focussing on her relationship with her husband and singer Bobby Brown will be
\npremiered in 2015, reports India Today.
\nAngela Bassett will make her directorial debut with the film titled Whitney Houston, which will follow the late star\u2019s rocky relationship with
\nBrown, reports eonline.comHouston, one of the world\u2019s best-selling and highly-awarded music artists, separated from the 45-year-old in 2006, and their divorce was finalised in 2007.
\nThe Oscar-nominee is thrilled to direct the movie and feels responsible for telling Houston\u2019s story, following the singer\u2019s death in February 2013, when she was aged 48.
\n\u2018I have such regard for both Whitney\u2019s and Bobby\u2019s amazing talents and accomplishments, and I feel a responsibility in the telling of their story. Their humanity and bond fascinates us all. I\u2019m beyond excited to have this opportunity to go behind the camera and into their world,\u2019 said Bassett.
\nHouston was found dead in a hotel in Beverly Hills. The cause of death was not immediately known. It was later ruled by the coroner to have been an accidental drowning. Beverly Hills paramedics arrived at approximately 3:30 pm and found the singer unresponsive and performed CPR. Houston was pronounced dead at 3:55 p.m. PST. Local police said there were no obvious signs of criminal intent. On March 22, 2012, the Los Angeles County coroner\u2019s office reported the cause of Houston\u2019s death was drowning and the effects of atherosclerotic heart disease and cocaine use\u2019. The office stated the amount of cocaine found in Houston\u2019s body indicated that she used the substance shortly before her death.<\/p>\n
