The album, Protichhobi, is the ninth album of the rock band and the first released digitally. It will be available on Grameenphone’s new digital music platform and fans will be able to listen to the songs using the telecommunication operator’s services. There are a total of eight songs of which some were already released beforehand. The songs have been written by Shafin Ahmed, Latiful Islam Shibley, Shafiq Tuhin, Topu and Tarun Munshi while Hamin Ahmed, Shafin, Manam and Jewel composed them.

‘We have decided to go for an online release because it is a better way to reach the audience. They can get the songs simply by downloading them,’ said Shafin Ahmed, the band’s vocalist-cum-bassist.

‘The digital world has opened up a new horizon for the musicians who can now release their songs with greater transparency,’ he added.

Miles released its previous album Protiddhoni in 2006.

The band will fly for Canada towards the end of this month and will perform in four concerts in Toronto, Montreal, Admount, and Vancouver. It will then visit America where they are scheduled to perform in six concerts.

The band members will return in mid-September.
