The Bangladesh Cricket Board dismissed the allegation of match-fixing between Dhaka Metropolis and Rangpur Division in their final round match at National Cricket League, said an official on Wednesday.
\nKhulna lodged a formal complaint on March 19 claiming that the match, which Rangpur won by 102 runs to earn their maiden title in NCL, had been fixed.Khulna officials provided an evidence of 35-minute recorded conversation between their officials and Metropolis coach Hannan Sarkar.
\nBCB\u2019s Anti-corruption unit head, retired military officer Abu Mohammad Humayun Morshed, completed the investigation followed by the anti-corruption guideline adopted by BCB.
\nAkram Khan, the chairman of BCB\u2019s tournament committee, said the evidences proved to be unsubstantial.
\n\u2018The allegation is dismissed and all the alleged have been cleared as no corruption was found in the investigation,\u2019 he said.
\nKhulna were among the front-runners in the championships and could have won it had Rangpur failed to earn an outright win.<\/p>\n
