Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Jagmohan Dalmiya passed away on Sunday. He was 75 years old. He is survived by his wife, son Abhishek and a daughter, reports ABP online.
\nDalmiya was in city\u2019s BM Birla Hospital since Thursday night after he complained of chest pain and breathing troubles.\u00a0Dalmiya began his second term as BCCI president last March. But he was ailing since then, and his health deteriorated further over the last few weeks.
\nDalmiya had served the BCCI for 36 years. He became treasurer of the organisation in 1983 and
\nwas instrumental in helping India host the 1987 and 1996 World Cups. He also served as ICC President in 1997.
\n\u2018BCCI condoles the sudden demise of our president Shri Jagmohan Dalmiya,\u2019 BCCI twitter handle said after the demise.
