Bangladesh\u2019s limited-over specialist Sabbir Rahman said on Saturday that he has been working hard to secure his position in the Bangladesh Test team by doing well in the upcoming Bangladesh \u2018A\u2019 teams tour to Zimbabwe and South Africa.\u00a0The 23-year old will get the chance to showcase his form and strength to get into the Test squad as he will fly with the \u2018A\u2019 team to South Africa and Zimbabwe on October 14 for several longer version games.
\nThe right-handed batsman , who is known for his hard hitting capacity played a few good innings in the recently concluded Bangladesh \u2018A\u2019 team\u2019s tour of India and he wants to carry on the good form.
\n\u2018I have been trying very hard to get into the Test team\u2019, Sabbir said. \u2018I have played ODIs, Twenty20s. I am trying to strengthen my mentality so that I can play in the Test matches.
\n\u2018I am trying to follow the great players and learning how they started their career.\u2019
\nSabbir also claimed that he has discussed with many great coaches and with their prescriptions he is trying to play with his natural instinct which he believes is the best recipe to get success.
\n\u2018I have played four-day matches in National league. My mindset becomes different when I play four-day matches.
\n\u2018I discussed with many great coaches about my playing approach and they told me to play my natural game irrespective of the format. I am exactly trying to do so. \u2018
\nThe man, who has played an important part in the recent success of Bangladesh team in ODI format is not in a hurry and wants to prolong his career as a Test player even it starts late.
\n\u2018I am not in a hurry. I do not want to play for a long time in the national team. I do not want to enter easily and then get dropped, rather I want to stay there for a long time even if it takes long time to enter. \u2018
\n\u2018I will try to do my best, rest depends on the selectors. I am not setting any goal but I will try to give my best for the team.\u2019<\/p>\n
