Former national pace bowler Shahadat Hossain, who is undergoing through a police case of beating his house help on Saturday, began his rehabilitation for injured left-knee with a bail granted by High court.\u00a0HC has granted him a 3-month bail in a case filed against him and his wife for torturing their domestic help.\u00a0Shahadat arrived at the Bangladesh Cricket Board premises to meet physicians to start the rehab programme that was stopped after nearly a month since going a surgical operation on his left knee.
\nShahadat along with his wife went into hiding after a case was filed under Women and Children Repression Prevention Act with Mirpur police station on September 6.
\nThe lanky paceman surrendered to the court of the Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate, which rejected his bail later on October 5.
\nShahadat went straight to the BCB doctor\u2019s room ignoring the request to entertain the media without delay after arriving at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium premises for the first time since he has been involved with the case.
\n\u2018We resumed his rehab programme from today as he could not continue it due to personal reasons,\u2019 BCB physician Debashish Chowdhury told New Age on Saturday.
\n\u2018He had earlier completed one month programme before it stopped abruptly. Now we start the programme again that is required to recover him fully after a knee operation on his left foot,\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n
