\n\u2018Shammi was suffering from cancer for the last six years. This afternoon (Tuesday) we were taking her to BIRDEM hospital as her condition deteriorated, but she breathed her last on her way to the hospital at around 4:00pm\u2019, said Akramul Islam.
\nShe won Bangladesh National Film Award in 2010.
