A 45-year-old man was bitten by a poisonous snake on his way back from work in a paddy field. He was able to catch the snake even after biting. After getting angry he bit the snake repeatedly till it died. The incident took place recently in Odisha, India.

Kishore Badra, from Gambharipatia village in Jajpur district in eastern India’s Odisha state, was bitten by a snake on his way back home from the paddy field on Wednesday evening.

“On my way home, something bit on my leg, I switched on my torch and found it to be a poisonous krait snake.” In order to take revenge, I took the snake in my hands and bit it repeatedly, killing the viper on the spot,” Badra said.

Then he came home with the dead snake in his hand. He told his wife about the whole incident. Neighbors also heard about this incident. Then the tale went viral throughout his village.

Badra showed the dead snake to the villagers and claimed to be perfectly fine after the bite. He refused to get treated at a hospital and relied on a traditional healer instead.

“Even though I bit the poisonous krait, I did not feel any difficulty. I went to a traditional healer residing near the village and was cured,” Bandra told.
