Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh had withdrawn the PCR test requirements for those who want to travel to United Arab Emirates from February 22.
\nEarlier, passengers going to the Middle Eastern country had to undergo PCR tests at the airport six hours prior to their flight schedule.
\nChairman of CAAB in a press release stated that the PCR test requirement for UAE-going passengers was withdrawn from 10:00am on February 22.
\nAccording to a report of United News of Bangladesh, on February 17, the National Technical Advisory Committee on Covid-19 suggested removing the post-arrival test for travellers who got fully vaccinated at least 14 days before arriving in Bangladesh.
\nThe committee had also suggested that unvaccinated passengers should take a reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction test 72 hours before boarding a plane.
\nAs some countries no longer require travellers to take a pre-departure test, RT-PCRs should be subjected to the requirements of specific countries and airlines.
