\nThe cultural organisation celebrated Pahela Baishakh in 2020 and 2021 organising online programmes due to the Covid situation.
\nThis year, the celebration programme will begin at 6:15 am.
\nThe announcement was made at a press conference held at the auditorium of Chhayanaut Sangskriti Bhaban in the capital on Saturday.
\nChhayanaut president Sanjida Khatun, executive president Sarwar Ali, vice presidents Atiur Rahman and Khairul Anam Shakil and general secretary Laisa Ahmed Lisa were present at the press conference.
\n\u2018We could not organise programmes to celebrate Pahela Baishakh at Ramna Batamul in 2020 and 2021 due to the Covid situation. This year we are going to organise the programme there with the theme Naba Anande Jago,\u2019 said Sanjida Khatun.
\nLaisa Ahmed Lisa read a written statement. \u2018Although around 125 artistes participate in the programme every year, we have decided to reduce the number of artistes at this year\u2019s programme considering health guidelines,\u2019 read Laisa Ahmed Lisa.
\n\u2018We have been rehearsing for more than one month for the programme. We invite people from all walks of life to attend the celebration programme,\u2019 added Laisa Ahmed Lisa.
\nBesides, Chhayanaut artistes rendered songs, namely, Bajre Bina Baj and Bipade More Rkakha Karo at the press conference.
\nChhayanaut was established during the Pakistan era with an aim to promote and nurture the cultural and musical heritage of Bengal among the masses in 1961. The organisation has been organising cultural programme annually to celebrate Pahela Baishakh at Ramna Batamul since 1967. Chhayanaut did not organise the
