: BUP film fest closing ceremony held<\/span><\/a>\n\n\nBUP vice-chancellor Major General Md Mahbub-ul Alam was chief guest of the prize giving ceremony while actor Abul Hayat was present as special guest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Actress and filmmakers of the movie \u2018Hawa\u2019 attended the opening ceremony held on Tuesday. Film director Giasuddin Selim was judge at the film festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The VC said that film is not only a medium of entertainment but also a tool to educate people, grow morality and humanity, reform society, stimulate patriotism and acts as a tool for the prosperity of the country. He said that films works as a mirror of daily and social life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The chief guest stated that a good, and thoughtful movie can broaden the window of mind, can inspire to think critically about the society and surroundings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
