On Thursday, a teacher couple was discovered dead inside their own vehicle in the Borobari neighborhood of the Gazipur district.
The deceased were named as Tongi Shaheed Smriti High School headmaster AKM Ziaur Rahman Mamun and his wife Mahmuda Akter Joly, an assistant teacher at Tongi Amzad Ali Sarkar Pilot High School and College.
The couple’s son Meraj reportedly found the couple’s bodies inside their car in the early morning close to their home and called the police, according to Md Nandalal, officer-in-charge of Gacha police station.
The remains were taken to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College and Hospital for an autopsy after a team from the local police station quickly arrived at the scene and received information.
The pair didn’t come home from work on Wednesday.
Meraj asserted that he had a phone conversation with his parents in the evening. Later that evening, when his parents’ phones were off and they had not returned home, he also called the police.
