The 17th National Furniture Fair 2022 at International Convention City Bashundhara in the capital saw a large influx of visitors on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The majority of visitors crowded various stalls looking for modern and traditional home furniture, while merchants were pleased to see the increasing number of visitors coming from different parts of the capital and neighboring areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Furniture and interiors companies expressed satisfaction with Friday’s audience as their sales were not as good as they expected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They said demand for furniture in the upper-middle-income community was gradually increasing and they hoped the show would play a significant role in stimulating their customers’ interest in their products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fair includes a total of 182 booths from 34 companies such as Hatil, Akhtar, Navana, Pertex, Regal, Nadia, Brothers, Hi-Tech, Bohu, Expose Furniture and other companies, almost all of them offering 10 to 25 percent discounts on multiple products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shamiul Bashir, Head of Hi-Tech Lifestyle and Furniture Sales, said they were exhibiting a range of modern bedroom, drawing room and dining room furniture sets aimed at the elite and upper-middle class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our modern products attract customers’ interest, which are mostly made of imported or processed wood, he said. The price of a furniture set is at least Tk 40,000 to Tk 8 lakh, he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
