Country’s first movie Mukh O Mukhosh’s hero Aminul Haque passed away yesterday morning at a city hospital at the age of 92. He wassuffering from heart disease for long. He was laid in rest forever at the citycorporation graveyard in Uttara. He left behind his wife Piyari Begum and son Rabiul Alam who is a ground engineer of Bangladesh Air Force.
The legendary veteran actor was born in 1921 in Kolkata. Hiscareer as an actor began in 1944 with Srirangan theatre of Kolkata. ‘Mon Diyo’was his first movie where he performed. He was the first Bangladeshi who actedin the first speech based Bangla movie ‘Mukh O Mukhush’.
He played in the key role in movie ‘Akash Aar Mati,’ whichwas the first film produced in Film Development Corporation (FDC). Later, heacted in five more movies as the central character while he also played in therole of different characters in more than 25 movies.
He was awarded ‘Ekushey Padak’ in 1991 for his outstandingcontribution in drama.
