A two-day Rabindra festival celebrating the 152nd birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore ended at Barisal Aswani Kumar Hall on Thursday.
The festival was organised by Barisal unit of
Jatiyo Rabindra Sangeet Sammilan Parishad.
The festival featured discussion on life and works of the Nobel laureate poet, recitation of Tagore’s poems, rendition of Tagore songs and staging of dance and theatre.
Nazrul Islam Chunnu, president JRSSP Barisal presided over the opening and concluding ceremonies of the festival.
Artists of JRSSP, Barisal Natok, Khelaghar, Nrittangon, Parntik Sangeet Bidyaloy and Udichi Shilpi Goshthi performed at the festival.
