THE Rajshahi Speedy Trial Tribunal sentenced two accused to death penalty on Sunday on the charge of killing Aminul Haque, affluent businessman of Rajshahi, in 2011.
The tribunal judge, Ekramul Haque Choudhury, delivered the verdict at about 11:30am, said Entajul Haque Babu, public prosecutor of Rajshahi.During the verdict the two accused were present at the dock, he added.
The convicted were Sarwar Hossain, 40, and his assistant Abdul Hakim, 18.
The prosecution story said, Aminul Haque was killed and cut into nine pieces after abduction on April 10, 2011 and the police recovered his body on April 13, from the house of convicted Sarwar Hossaian.
