Admission tests begin today
The tests for admission in the first year honours course of the 2010-2011 academic year at Khulna University begin today.
An average of 24.18 candidates will vie for each seat in the tests that will end on Wednesday.
According to the official sources of the university, a total of 22,105 candidates qualified to sit for the admission tests against 914 seats under five faculties and the Fine Arts Institute of the university.
The public relations office of the university said the candidates having roll number 1 to 3500 will sit for the tests on the Khulna University campus and the remaining candidates will sit at KCC Women’s College sub-centre in the Khulna city.
According to the schedule, the admission tests of science, engineering and technology faculties and the fine arts institute will be held from 10:00am to 2:00pm and from 3:00pm to 4:30pm respectively on Monday, those of the life science faculty and management and business administration faculties from 10:00am to 11:00am and 2:00pm to 4:00pm respectively on Tuesday and those of the social science faculty and arts and humanities faculty from 10:00am to 11:00am and from 1:00pm to 3:30pm respectively on Wednesday.
The KU public relations office said information about the admission tests were now available on the university website — http://www.ku.ac.bd/.
The office also said only the candidates will be allowed into the university campus after checking with metal detector at the main gate and at the examination hall gate for security purpose.
