The 24th council of Bangladesh Chhatra League of Rajshahi University unit will be held on July 20, said a press release on Tuesday.
The collection of nomination papers for the posts of president and general secretary, which will cost Tk 5,000, started on July 16 and the submission deadline is July 18, it also said.
Muhammad Nasim, presidium member of ruling Awami League, consented to be the chief guest at the council.
BCL central president AHM Badiuzzaman Sohag will inaugurate the programme while general secretary Siddiqi Nazmul Alom will be present as key speaker.
RU unit BCL president Ahmed Ali will preside over the function while general secretary Abu Hossain Bipu will conduct the council.
BCL sources said the tenure of the present BCL committee at RU ended on June 25.
The council will be held at Shabash Bangladesh Chattar on RU campus, sources also said.
