The second issue of Six Seasons Review, an English language literary periodical published by Bengal Foundation, was launched at a programme at Bengal Art Lounge on Friday.
The event featured readings from poets and writers whose works have been published in the issue. Among this issue’s writers and poets, Seema Amin and Samia Ahmed recited their poems while poet-professor Kaiser Haque read excerpts from his English translation of a story by Akhteruzzaman Elias.
Besides, professor Fakrul Alam read from Nuzhat Amin Mannan’s writings. Luva Nahid Choudhury, director general of Bengal Foundation, discussed the artworks by S.M. Sultan and Shishir Bhattacharjee, reproduced in this issue.
The second issue of Six Seasons Review contains poetry, fiction, translation and others by 19 authors. Among the writers and poets are Debashish Banarjee, Rowshan Ara Begum, Raian Hasan, Tishna Mohiuddin, Khodeja Rouf, Sudip Sen, Iktisad Ahmed, Fyza Hasnat, Munzir Hossain, Sayeed Hossain and others.
The issue is available for Tk 300 at Bengal Art Lounge, Aronno, Omnibooks, Bookworm and some other local book stores.
