Three Bangladeshi expatriates were killed and three others critically wounded in a road accident in Madinah of Saudi Arabia early Monday.
The deceased were identified as Mohammad Kutub Uddin, 42, owner of a residential hotel, his eight-year-old son Minhaz Uddin, his business partner Hazi Rafique Ahmed, 40, and driver of the car they were travelling by.
The injured were identified as Sajeda Begum, 30, wife of Kutub Uddin, their elder son Mizan Uddin, 16, and Sajeda’s brother Nazimuddin Tawhid, 24. They were admitted to local hospitals.
They all hailed from Syedpur village in Boalkhali upazila of Chittagong.
Talking to The Daily Star, Mohammad Noimuddin, Kutub Uddin’s brother-in-law, said the accident took place in Jilkholaifa area of Madinah as the driver lost control over his wheels around 10:00pm (Saudi local time).
The victims were returning to their residence in Madinah, after performing Umrah, from Makkah.
