A mobile court of consumer rights preservation directorate in Barisal fined five hotels and restaurants Tk 30,000 in the city on Tuesday.
Directorate assistant director Md Selimuzzaman led the court in the presence of Dr SM Sarwar of Barisal Sher E Bangla Medical College Hospital.The court fined Hotel Al Jamia Tk 7,000, Gharani Tk 10,000, Hotel Islamia Tk 3,000, Gournadi Mitanna Vandar Tk 5,000 and Sher E Bangla Medical College Hospital canteen Tk 5,000 for unhygienic environment and selling expired items, the mobile court sources said.
