The government is going to cancel the approval for higher secondary education at seven non-government institutions in Bangladesh capital Dhaka for charging extra fees from the students.
Following the initiative, the Dhaka Education Board issued notices against the seven institutions to answer why the approval for higher secondary education there would not be canceled.
The notices were sent to the educational institutions between May 28 and May 30 and the institutions were asked to answer within seven days.
The institutions are – Monipur High School and College [Mirpur], Shaheed Police Smrity College [Mirpur], SOS Hermann Gmeiner College [Mirpur], Greenfield School and College [Mirpur], Chetona Model Academy [Mirpur], Banophool Adibashi Green Heart College [Mirpur] and Shamsul Hoque Khan School and College [Demra].
The notices said that all these educational institutions charged extra defying the fees fixed as per the policy for admission fees for non-government schools and colleges.
The notices were signed by the Dhaka Education Board college inspector Professor Abu Taleb Md Moazzem Hossain.
