Nine people were killed and 47 others injured in road accidents in Dinajpur, Tangail, Comilla, Chuadanga, Jhenidah, Bogra, Pirojpur, and Jamalpur on Thursday and yesterday.
Our Dinajpur correspondent reports, a woman and her seven-year-old daughter were killed and her husband was injured as a truck hit their running motorcycle on Dhaka-Dinajpur highway near Baraihat in Phulbari upazila yesterday afternoon.
The deceased were Mukta, 34, wife Nazrul Islam and Mittika, 7, their daughter, of Santibagh, Phulbari.
Our Tangail correspondent adds, two people were killed and 12 others injured in a collision between a bus and a covered van on Dhaka-Tangail highway at Shavulla in Mirzapur yesterday.

Our Jamalpur correspondent reports, rickshaw-puller Rafiqul Islam, 40, died after being hit in the dead with a roadside electric pole while vomiting out the window of a bus he was travelling in at Dakpara intersection in the town yesterday.
