Bangladesh Brand Forum (BBF) is set to organise a ‘leadership summit’ to encourage local companies and entrepreneurs to participate more effectively in uplifting economic activities.
The one-day summit set for October 2 will focus on various issues, including strategic planning, marketing, branding and leadership in its different sessions, said Shariful Islam, founder of BBF, at a press conference at Dhaka Sheraton Hotel yesterday.
“The main objective of this programme is to help local corporate leaders develop their own brands effectively, so they are able to take part in enhancing the country’s economic growth,” he said.
“We have plans to invite international experts to discuss issues relevant to developing corporate leadership at various sessions throughout the Summit. We hope the summit will add value to the continuing process of developing successful brands,” he added.
Farhet Anwar, BBF’s chief adviser, stressed the need for enhancing the economic growth rapidly, which he said, is a requirement to change the mindset of our local entrepreneurs and businesspeople.
The leadership summit will be held at the Radisson Water Garden Hotel in Dhaka.
Ram Charan, author of What the CEO Wants You to Know, and Rene Carayol, BBC broadcaster, will attend the summit.
A total of 200 leaders from different corporate houses will take part in the daylong activities.
BBF’s partner for the event is Rahimafrooz, while Grameenphone is its platinum sponsor.
Kazi Monirul Kabir, chief communication officer of Grameenphone, and Nazia Andalib Prima, adviser to BBF, were also present at the press conference.
