Gono Bishwabidyalay, in order to bridge the gap between education in village and town, is going to introduce four new subjects for its four-year bachelor degree courses from the coming session, said a press release on Tuesday.
The new subjects are Bengali language, literature and culture, English, applied mathematics and physical sciences.
The Bengali language, literature and culture course will have English and Arabic as integrated subjects.
Physical sciences course will consist of mathematics, chemistry and physics while English will have a well equipped modern language laboratory to help the rural students to learn English easily, the release added.
The students can study any of these courses at the cost of Tk 12,000 per year, and for the rest of the course fee, they will have options to take bank loan on low interest.
The female students are provided with hostel facilities at minimum cost in the university.
