Ward No. 5 and Ward No. 14 won big in Tuesday’s matches of the 2nd Councilor Cup Football tournament at the Rajshahi District Stadium yesterday.
Ward no. 14 won 4-0 against Ward No. 21 in the day’s first match with Malek scoring all four goals.
Ward No. 5 beat Ward No. 30 6-1 in the second match. Sagar scored four goals while Parvez and Shafi scored one each.
Rajshahi Mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton has watched one of the two matches everyday and he said the city corporation sponsored the tournament to help the city’s youths building their career in football.
