United Airways, the sole aviation company in the capital market, has purchased one airbus A-310/325 and three ATR aircraft.
The aircraft will be deployed for flights on international and domestic routes, according to a post on the Dhaka Stock Exchange’s web site on Wednesday.
The airbus A-310 is likely to arrive in Bangladesh on Saturday. The ATR aircraft will arrive shortly.
The price of airbus A-310 is $1,21,05,000 (Tk 84,00,87,000) approximately. The price of each ATR-72 is $90,30,000 (Tk 62,66,82,000) approximately.
United Airways came into the capital market on July 8 this year. The company is listed in the ‘N’ category which includes newly-listed shares.
The aviation company made a profit of Tk 4.43 crore according to the last financial statement.
Bdnews24.com adds: Oliur Rahman, deputy manager (shares) of United Air told the news agency, ‘We have already made the down payment for two aircraft and first two planes will reach within this month.’
‘Agreement has been signed for the remaining two, which are expected to join the fleet in a short while,’ he added.
