The Dhaka University (DU) authorities yesterday cancelled graduation and post-graduation results of 12 students for obtaining admission with forged academic certificates.
An investigation committee declared the forgery after verifying the documents with relevant education boards.
The university Syndicate committee yesterday took the decision in this regard at its regular meeting.
The authorities cancelled their first, second, third and fourth year and masters results.
Nine of the dishonest students are of the Department of International Relations and three are of the Department of Public Administration.
Those of the Department of International Relations are: Aynal Haq (AF Rahman Hall), Mohammad Anisur Rahman (AF Rahman Hall), Farhana Rahman (Bangladesh- Kuwait Moithree Hall), Mohammad Rejaul Islam Khan (Zia Hall), Somel Mahamud (AF Rahman Hall), Abdullha Al Roman (AF Rahman Hall), Mohammad Majaharul Islam (AF Rahman Hall), Samina Sayid (Bangladesh-Kuwait Moitree Hall) and Nusrat Sharmin (Bangladesh-Kuwait Moitree Hall).
Three of the Public Administration Department students are: Jakia Sultana (Fajilatunnessa Mujib Hall) Mohammad Shah Alam (AF Rahman Hall) and Nazia Ahmed (Rokeya Hall).
