Jahangirnagar University students will get free internet facilities on the campus from November this year.
JU vice-chancellor Shariff Enamul Kabir told this to the newsmen on Saturday.
The university authorities recently increased the connection limit to 8 MBPS while earlier this was only 2 MBPS, he said.
Now, the students were enjoying internet hot spot facilities in the central library premise of the campus, he added.
Coordinator of the programme Farid Ahmed told the news agency that the new step of JU would cover all of the residential halls.
The university authorities had already allocated Tk 4 lakh to implement the internet availability project, he said.
