A schoolboy was shot and two others injured at Rainkhola in Mirpur yesterday.
Mohammad Sujon, 11, was rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital with bullet injuries in his right hand along with Mohammad Sohel, 12, with injuries in his head. The third injured is Ashik, 15.
Police said six to seven teenagers armed with cricket bats, stumps and firearms, swept on the boys playing cricket at Rainkhola playground in Mirpur around 4:00pm.
Locals said they heard gunshots during the incident.
Officer-in-Charge Kazi Wazed of Mirpur Police Station said the attack might be caused over previous enmity.
