5,214 candidates to compete for 665 seats
The first year admission tests for bachelor’s degree courses in the 2010-11 session under three faculties at Khulna University of Engineering and Technology are going to be held on November 6.
A total of 5,214 candidates are expected to compete for 665 seats in the tests.
The tests will be held from 10:00am to 12:30pm at KUET and its adjacent Teachers’ Training College, Higher Secondary Teachers’ Training Institute and Government Laboratory High School, said sources in the public relations office of the university.
According to the sources, the candidates bearing roll number from 1001 to 4764 will have their seats on the KUET campus, from 4765 to 5364 at Teachers’ Training College, from 5365 to 5604 at HSTTI and from 5605 to 6214 at Government Laboratory High School.
Under the civil engineering faculty, the university has 120 seats in civil engineering department and 60 in urban and regional planning department, under the electrical and electronic engineering faculty, it has 120 seats in electrical and electronics department, 60 in computer science and engineering department and 60 in electronics and communication engineering department and under the mechanical engineering faculty, it has 120 seats in mechanical engineering department, 60 in industrial engineering and management department and 60 in leather engineering department while five seats are reserved for the students under especial quotas.
The university public relations officer, Md Abdur Rahman, told New Age the university authority has already completed the preparations for holding the tests properly.
