4,000 candidates are expected to compete for 485 seats
The first year admission tests for bachelor’s degree courses in the 2010-11 session at Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology will be held today.
A total of 4,000 candidates are expected to compete for 485 seats in the tests to be held from 9:00am to 11:30pm at the university building.
The university pro-vice-chancellor, Mourtuza Ali, told New Age that the university authorities have already completed the preparation for holding the tests properly.
The authorities have imposed restriction on all kinds of activities of student and political bodies on the campus during the tests with a view to holding the tests peacefully, he added.
Extra police forces have been deployed on the campus and members of the Bangladesh National Cadet Corps, Rover Scouts, Girls Guide and member of Ansars have also been deployed to help the admission seekers, he said also.
In a press release, the authorities have asked the students to visit the university website www.ruet.ac.bd or dial 01555-555021 or 01555-555-022 for the seat arrangement.
